"Hi, You've reached the Leaches!"

My first year of teaching at Monticello, I had a student who thought it would be hilarious to record an answering machine message that would say (in a very corny voice): "Hi, You've reached the Leaches! Sorry we can't come to the phone, but leave a message and we'll call you back! BEEEP." He would crack up every time he said this, which was a few times a week for an entire year. We never got an answering machine, but we do have a blog as of September 19, 2011, which is waaay more 21st century anyway. And now we have a baby-- a B.Leach (Baby Leach). So I suppose Daniel created this blog as a way to post general stuff and things about our life (boring, who wants to read that?) and our baby's life (super awesome) so that facebook is not our sole medium of relaying information and pictures. Because really, how many people do you know who post hundreds of photos of their children on facebook? Too many. I also suppose that we will use this blog to publish other things besides our life and times, but there's not much better to write about than Tyndall. I think I might turn into one of those people who talks about her kid all the time. What can I say? I'm in love. Enjoy.
